Georgian lari exchange in Wroclaw

The official currency of Georgia was introduced in 1995, replacing the earlier currency - coupons. Georgian banknotes are issued by the National Bank of Georgia - Sakartvelos Erovnuli Banki. The currency was introduced on October 2, 1995 as part of an economic stabilization program after the collapse of the Soviet Union and the period of hyperinflation that followed Georgias independence. The National Bank of Georgia conducts monetary policy aimed at maintaining the stability of the lari and controlling inflation.
