Series – Scenes of Canada (1969–1979) – classic series featuring portraits of prime ministers and Canadian landscapes. Withdrawn in the 1980s.
Series – Birds of Canada (1986–1991) – known for bird motifs on the reverse side. Gradually replaced by the "Canadian Journey" series.
Series – Canadian Journey (2001–2006) – depicted Canadian landscapes and historical figures; withdrawn after the introduction of polymer banknotes.
Banknotes in denominations of $1, $2, $25, $500, and $1000 – officially withdrawn from circulation and lost legal tender status in 2021.
